Summer is here, time which takes off the natural glow with scorching heat, pollution and humidity. Going outdoors can damage our skin and hair in the hot sun. Here are some tips to take care of your skin and hair-

Protection from Sun-

Usage of sunscreens are the best option before stepping out. Apply sunscreen that has UVA and UVB protection and comes in SPF 30 to SPF 70. Also use hat, scarf and sunglasses.

Go for Minimal Makeup-

Lesser the makeup, the best. Avoid going overboard with eye makeup during the summer.

Hydrate your Body-

Water prevents dehydration, makes you feel fresh and also helps to wash out any kind of toxins from body. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.

Fresh Fruits and Salads-

Add juicy fruits to your diet like watermelon, grapes and pomegranate. Have fresh salad like cucumber, tomato.. It helps to hydrate your body.

Lip Care-

Lips are very sensitive. Summer heat can damage lips that leads to scales and spots. Use lip balm with SPF to protect them from sun.

Rose Water-

Wash face with rose water as it has cooling properties which is good for skin during summer.

Hair Care-

Invest in a good hair conditioner that contains sunscreen. The sun’s heat will activate conditioner, softening hair, while sunscreen will prevent UV rays from causing any kind of damage to the hair strands.
